If you naturally masturbated once or twice a week and never watched or cared about porn in your life then yes.

But you're on nofap which means you have an addiction and the cure is a full reboot.

You can't have a reboot if you keep relapsing.

 

Because we been jerking off to porn so much our brain (at the moment) has a correlation between masturbating and porn, the porn images will come up on your mind, the same chemical process is released in the brain same as when you just watch porn.
Its best to stop all 3 Porn/Masturbation/Orgasm since they are so linked together, stop all of them to rewire your brain the most efficient way.

 

Masturbating also kills ur motivation cuz ur some wat satisfied, but, u there is a high chance to get addicted to it since thinking about arousing thoughts also releases dopamine. I would still suggest to avoid it since ejaculating causes huge detriments to ur body & mind.

 

From purely a brain chemistry standpoint, masturbating by itself isn't as bad as watching porn. But why limit your own progress? It's like running a race where you've decided to remove the restraints from your ankles--which is clearly the more oppressive problem--but you're still holding the 10 lb. weights.

Just my opinion:
If hard mode does not work and you become more and more frustrated try soft mode first and after 90 days, decrease the frequency until you feel comfortable.
I did not watch any any porn for nearly four months now but have been "busy". Though I feel and know the chamge that took place in my brain, life is better, there are other hobbies making fun again, marriage is better, self-confidence increased.
I think it is better to try often and fail sometimes than doing nothing.

Remember your end goal should be not to masturbate but find a good faithful women who will take care of those needs and vice versa
