Ultimate and Best way to block Porn forever.

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Jul 25, 2016.

  1. In this thread i will show you how i made a method so i can block porn on my Computer FOREVER without having any chance to get back to it EVEN if you want to,if you did what i will say there is NO going back so make sure about that (i think thats good tho).Okay let me start:
First Of All download the best (In my opinion) Web Protection tool K9 Web Protection. You must request a license before installing it,to make the license head to the official page then you have to fill in your E-mail ,here comes the important part .For the E-mail go to TutaNota, its an E-mail website in which you can make emails much faster with no mobile phone or anything and type in the password (remember never save that password in your memory) DONT even try to remind or save it in your brain or you will fail in this .Then when you have that TutaNota E-mail,continue on filling your license info by typing the E-mail and username then after getting your license continue on installing K9 when you get to the password part type in the same RANDOM password you used for the E-mail (without saving it in your brain!!!).Boom K9 is installed (MAKE sure to save the password in a notepad because after restarting you will just need it in one more last thing).Reboot your computer then head to the newly installed program which is Blue Coat K9 Web Protection (The one with the Dog logo). It will open up your browser from here press on the Setup button and from here go to the custom category MAKE SURE to only make a tick beside the things you dont want to (OFC Porn or anything else you dont want) by doing this you will ban these websites FOREVER from this computer you wont be able to get back to them again. After choosing what you want to keep and what to get rid off save your settings. Now head to the Blue Coat K9 program right click and head to file location then take the folder and shift delete it YES shift delete it FOREVER.Then go to the notepad where you saved the password and delete it DELETE every single clue of the random password you made.If you think that you can uninstall K9 so easily no you are wrong because upon uninstalling K9 it will ask you for the password (which you already deleted) so by this way you wont be able from uninstalling it :).Thats all but the most important part is choosing what to block. Thanks for reading.
Feel free to ask me if you have question or any help.

This can be applied on iPhone and Ipad as well but you don't need the k9 software rather just use the iOS default restriction option by going to settings - general - restriction and blocking sites that causes you to relapse and setting a password that you'd love to forget :)

That will work for most people, but where there is a will there is a way. I've bypassed this method before on an iPhone.

Make sure to also block https websites when you install K9. Some porn sites are https and K9 will not block them if you do not choose the option that blocks https websites. Also, choose to block websites that offer proxy bypass (these sites allow you to bypass the protection and K9 becomes useless). I recommend to not put in the trash the piece of paper in which you write the K9 password because you could find a way to access porn sites and then you will have to change your settings on K9 in order to block this way. If you dont have access anymore to the K9 settings, it is disastrous. I recommend you put the piece of paper in a loacker at your school/job or you give it to a friend if you don't have access to a loacker.
    I hope it helps!

I agree you should never throw away the password because you may later need to modify some settings.

At the moment I have the password written down on a piece of paper I keep at work. While storing the password on a piece of paper somewhere outside might work for some, it wouldn't work so well for those who are constantly traveling. There has to be a better solution

I am wondering if there is an application or website that lets you store passwords, but when you try to retrieve them, you have to first wait about 12 hours before you can view them.

So for example, if you give in one evening and request the password, the 12 hours gives you time to cool off first so you don't give in to temptations. Also if you find some settings need to be fixed, you only need to wait 12 hours before you can modify K9 settings, and then you just lock up the password again.

Does anyone know if such an application or website exists?

It could be that the best way is to decide that porn is not something that you do any more, period. It is disgusting. It is dangerous. It has hurt you. It has hurt everyone in it, and never again will you have anything to do with it.
This system works even when you find you are on a computer with no blocker. You are now the blocker. You can help block for others.
Some day you will find yourself on a bicycle without training wheels. Will you be able to use it without crashing?

I have installed Covenant Eyes, which solves the problem of passwords. I bought and installed the software on my laptop and phone but I made my wife the account manager. Now I can't uninstall the software or turn it off in any way. Only she can. I can't even go to the billing page and cancel the service, even though it is being paid with my credit card. I have also made her an accountability partner, which means that she gets an email every day (or every week, or whatever) that tells her if I have been on any sites rated mature (swimsuits and lingerie) or highly mature (porn). This, for me, is much more effective than blocking sites, but there is a filtering function that will let you choose what sites to block. The downside of this program is that it is a monthly subscription, not a one time purchase, so it is not cheap in the long run. The basic service is about 11 bucks a month and then 2 more for my wife to have an account. Filtering also costs another 2 bucks, I think. In addition to warning your accountability partner about mature sites or searches there is a full report option which logs every url you go to, mature or not. Essentially, then, when I am online it is just like having my wife look over my shoulder. Everything I click on I have to be ready to discuss with her, if she wants. If you don't have the support of your SO then your accountability partner can be your account manager. One thing that took me quite a while to find out was that if you get the Android app for your phone you need to install the Beta version to be totally secure. The regular version on Google Play has loopholes.

Yes, but I am curious about how you came to that idea from my post?

I have some kind of blocker on Google Chrome which works well enough, and I've gone into Terminal on my Mac to block dozens of porn sites. But sometimes in really bad moments I'll go to Firefox and start looking up Google terms. An add on I have on Chrome prevents me looking up such terms. It's quite a mess.

Thank for this! I had K9 already but if you don't have a "secret" email you can easily get a
    temporary code.

I use Boomerang on my Samsung S7. It's great and you get a web browser called SPIN
that blocks every thing. Also it blocks the other web browser. So far I have never relapse
    on my phone.

  16. Update: I haven't been around on the forums lately also i don't know if this method is still working but i'am happy that i helped some of you guys.

Personally, I am of the belief I have to do this with my own power, so I shall.

You will need your own power, most definitely. But underestimating the task at hand and thinking you can do it with willpower alone can waste years of your life.
