Hey folk, you read it correctly: Quitting PMO gives you nothing. I thought I need to write it, because a lot of fapstrounauts seem to put themselves on some kind of a higher shelf than other people. Here, grab some harsh truth: bare quitting gives you nothing. Yes, it opens doors, creates opportunities.

But all by itself it means nothing.

If you won't use it as a spark for a change, it means nothing. Hey, you're not fapping dude, that's awesome. Heard it gives you clarity, more free time, more focus. So tell me, what are you doing with it? Oh, you are browsing the net, hanging out with bros. Sure, it was worth it. Keep living the dream, boy...

  2. Agree.
Just one point, quitting PMO doesn't mean nothing all by itself, at the least it lets you know that there are doors, other than those that lead to PMO, that can give you true pleasure, something you'll never get with PMO.

Quitting heroin doesnt "give" you anything either.. But it is destroying your life in another sense it does give you back what already was yours.
    Same with every addiction.

So both yes and no. It gives you back what was yours all along; happiness, confidence, stability.

Well, I must admit I always have those moments of honesty after a relapse.
Of course not. Although bare qutting gives you just a shallow satisfaction, it is an essential part of self improvement. As someone mentioned it shows you hat there are the doors to open. It gives you the tools I would say, though if you don't use them, you would do just as good without them.

The agressivness of my post was aimed to cause a shock and hopefully wake up some of the fapstronauts. As I always say: 'If it helped only one person, it was worth the work'

You can have confidence , happiness and stability even with PMO.

In my opinion a ton of fapstronauts have lead a fucked up life so far which makes them sad.

Since i fixed a fuckton in my life fapping doesnt change my mood at all.

also after relapse i dont care about girls that much therefore being non needy and that makes them stick like shit recently.
Not sure if they are attracted to me but a lot of girls touch me and come to me to talk.

You can have successfull and happy life even with fap. The only issue with it is pied.
Also people post here like relapsing is like death. Like they are half humans after relapse and lose their confidence etc.

that is all bullshit. you keep it because it is in your character. Nofap can help you build confidence and you dont lose it afterwards.

Fixing your life should be #1 Priority for all fapstronauts. And if they got their life in order Fix that damn addiction. You got no friends? Go get some. You fat?Start lifting.... etc etc.....

If you feel better with your life quitting this addiction can be much easier.
Fixing your life while quitting pmo is too much. . . atleast for me.

SOme people will say "this is your addiction speaking" yeah probably. I fap once a week.
and dont feel like shit.My life is becoming better everyday. Fapping does not destroy me. Even tho it comes with a cost of procrastination , lazyness. Dont relapse. I think fap once a week is still too much. MO every 10 days is healthy in my opinion. It release tension , is not too much. And you dont develope PIED.

This is all my opinion. What works for me doesnt mean it works for you. if your life is good and you still get depressed after fap you should definetly stop doing it.

I like this reply because it's equally as eye-opening as the original post. No, quitting PMO alone will not improve your life, but continuing any addiction including PMO can only harm you. There is great harm in using something as an escape and not dealing with the realities of life. Porn is great to look at, but when we take it to a level where we can't control how much we use porn we are addicts. The will to fight the battle and stop using porn will make you stronger and therefore a better person.

Good luck, keep up the fight. Personally I have been weak as of late and that's why I'm back here to try again.

The idea behind this post seems just, but the sarcasm and execution seems misguided. Of course all your problems with life aren't due to PMO. If that is what you think then you are ignorant and need to do some research. Maybe see a doctor.

This is true, but the point most people on here are stopping because they are addicted and it is effecting their life in a negative way, where they have lack of confidence, self control, socalism, anxiety, guilt, mental strength and they want to change there life a round and give a boost to their life. Also they think it will help them in a relationship for the future.

E.g Me I am 17 and started fapping at around 11 years old and I suffer with lots of things which I just said and I'm quitting fapping to see if it changes anything since if you don't try you will not get any where in life and I have heard from a lot of people it dose you some good, so that's why i'm quitting and hopefully one day ill get a girlfriend :)

I understand what you mean that NoFap doesn't give you anything. But it does allow you to start giving to yourself. What you decide to give yourself is your choice.

If this is a shock and awe thread check this out. I was never addicted to PMO (although PMO'd plenty like everyone else) and I've had nothing but success with women. Never had any kind of sexual dysfunction. I am here because I figured out that ejaculating frequently weakens me and keeping the seed for myself gives me power that I can transmute into something awesome. We've all been scammed. We gave away our power. Even healthy sex is destructive most of the time. When I was a kid they told me masturbation was a sin. When I asked why they gave me an answer that I thought was nonsense. They had no clue what they were talking about.

This is a conspiracy of epic proportions. The media does everything in it's power to program us to give away our power at every opportunity. It's not about quitting PMO, that's only the beginning. It's about quitting ejaculations. I'm 32 years old and no one I've physically encountered in my life has been able to tell me about sexuality. I had to find out by accident from doing psychedelic drugs. Turns out that what I stumbled on has been known about for thousands of years and it works even better without the drugs.

All that frustration that makes people want to relapse, THATS the energy that's important. The key is to figure out how to use it. The truth is out there.

This will be my only post in this thread so take it or leave it.

I tend to agree, NoFap is the beginning, not the end or a complete means to attain a PMO free life. Something we all have to realise that all or habits, including PMO are all linked in together, we all have ONE great (subconscious) habit. PMO is a startling example of an off shoot of the great habit. We need to direct or attention into more productive and constructive activities in order to maintain a longer NOFAP challenge. If you don't channel your energy into something better, then the old habit will creep back in.

You need to address more than the behaviour of PMO if you are truly interested in removing this addiction from your life

I don't agree at all. It's like playing a sport or performing an art. Yes, you don't get anything on the surface like money, or attention, or even a skill necessarily. But, by doing the discipline of abstination, you grow inner strength, resolve, and determination. Who could say those are nothing?
