Kind of a strange article. On the one hand, he says that M'ing is alright, but on the other it can be very harmful. It sounds like he's saying that if you M, and only M without any sort of other stimulation - even mental stimulation - you'll supposedly be fine.
Thing is, people who try that ("clean" M) out usually fall back eventually to fantasies and from there to PMO.

Supposedly clean M is healthy, but is it possible, according to this writer, to even do that long-term? I don't think so.

  4. Probably he means of doing it constantly. In my opinion I find some things obvious. For example if you are addicted to masturbating, probably you don't have social interactions, you don't attract women, you get depressed and you are a virgin so your brain gets fogged and for example you can become necrophile because the dead won't tell you to stop doing what you do.We can get driven crazy in order to satisfy our sexual demands if we think too much about them.Mostly the addicted people on masturbating are the ones who are more despair with women so if they can't go with a woman, they will go with a corpse or with a child because the child isn't that strong enough to esceape the adult. But a person who faps once in the meantime, his brain isn't that fogged,it's on normal levels of just thinking sexual things, he just recognizes his sexual identity.

Well, that's what I'm saying: If you M to your normal thoughts, even if it's just once in a while, there's a very good chance that you'll start fantasizing more and M'ing more. I didn't see the writer advocate for M'ing once in a while to your thoughts. I assumed therefore that he meant just M'ing without thinking about anything - because he explained that fantasies lead to messed-up paraphilias.

  6. Most of use have fantasies so it's dangerous. A lot people reach that point. So you have to stop early.

    Then explain this:
I'm saying that "regular thoughts" lead to fantasies, which, we both agree, obviously, are dangerous.
That's why it sounded in the article that the writer was advocating for M'ing without any thoughts whatsoever. However, I believe that no thoughts lead to some thoughts, and some thoughts lead to fantasy.

  8. Honestly, I don't know. The article just says what can happen with too much fantasy.

It was a very insightful text. It makes a case for negative reinforcement through P, in cases where individuals use fantasy that could harm them in a long term.

  10. Yeah, in our opinion of course, avoid P and M to not have those fantasies.

I've done it. It doesn't feel good and there is no shame after doing it, it is more like a chore.

Does it work long-term? Or are you drawn back to PMO/fantasies?

I did it for almost a year, like once every two months, so I suppose it works. I was extremely sad at that time though.

This article has two conflicting points.

First, most paraphilic interests are formed by age 17.
    Second, m’ing can reinforce them.

My personal belief, (not founded in science) is that some of these interests just randomly develop as we we kids for a variety of reasons.

    ***trigger alert***

Let’s say you are interested in naked people, as a kid. Most of us would concur that’s a normal interest. It develops at varying times. If you are in an oppressed en environment, meant to feel shame about this interest, then I can see how this can form into what the author states. If you can only see naked people by “spying” on them, that could become a way that you experience sex.

Where I think that these fetishes/preferences/tendencies can develop as an adult has to do with conditioned exposure. (Another trigger alert)
The newer you are to porn, the more “mild” it can be to be satisfying. Think models in underwear, then nudity, then solo action with nudity. Now you want to see two people engaged in one sort of sex. That becomes boring, so the type of sex changes, or you get more people involved. You flip the genders around to mix it up. Some people go further because there is all sorts of fetishized porn.

Some guys even take it beyond what’s above by initiating sexual encounters with other guys to experience sex, or to watch porn together.

I think the point is of the article, why masturbation itself is a healthy outlet, coupling it with pint can escalate masturbation into an addictive behavior.
