Chemistry is about biological compatibility. This is to be differentiated from the lust leading to orgasm you might fall into quickly, and to be differentiated from long-term intimacy and unconditional love you might build later.

I see chemistry as foundation for a fruitful relationship. Of course, without working on the other elements nothing is going to come out of it.
