Has anyone reintroduced M (without P) after doing a streak of no PMO whatsoever? How did it affect you? Would you have not reintroduced it, if you went back and did it again? I'm asking to hopefully gain some understanding of the path ahead, as for me personally, I don't see masturbation as unhealthy as long as it's in moderation and never with P or otherwise unhealthy (edging, public, inappropriate location, etc.) I'm almost at the one month mark for hard mode, just wanting to see what others have experienced.

  2. It is possible, but a lot of people returns to the porn habit straight after that.

I think it all depends on what kind of personality you have. If you have an addictive personality , it's not a good idea to go back to masturbation. The porn habit will just come back and the cycle will begin again. I'm speaking mainly from experience here.

You should not reintroduce masturbation, it's not healthy and it's an abnormal act wiring you away from real sex. Plus you associate arousal and orgasm with holding a dick rather than holding/touching a woman

That's what I'm looking for, I think. Porn is what gets me out of control, not masturbation per se. Glad you've been able to go 10 years that's awesome.

Helpful, thank you. Similar to what you've written, I've concluded that for me, healthy masturbation is:

    1. Not compulsive, meaning I choose an appropriate place and time and I don't obsess over it's approach.
    2. Free of artificial stimulation/porn or death grip
    3. Mindful, and very conscious. As free from fantasy as possible, focusing on just my body and not on detailed fantasies, especially those that were a part of problematic sexual behaviour.

Thank you, you may also join the related challenge if you like some companionship with this approach (and maybe an extra amount of motivation and accountability to stay true to it). I'd be glad to welcome you there and read about your experiences.

I believe porn usage conditions you to orgasm through visual stimulation of an extreme nature. After my 90 days I started Masturbating again and at first it was difficult. I had to focus a lot on my imagination and learn to recondition myself without the use of porn. I noticed that sex became more enjoyable as the attention went more towards the care of my penis rather than what I was looking at.

Unhealthy? Science sees masturbation as a natural and healthy act, obviously if not done in a compulsory and addictive way.

masturbation is pointless. The quicker you realize that, the better is for you.

Like I said, NO study, just religions talking, which is fine for me, but HERE you are fucking with the already disturbed and confused mind. Telling people here that their masturbation habit is unhealthy is one thing, making them (especially teens) feel bad for touching them self’s is WRONG! All the things you listed are simply NOT TRUE, FALSE and based on NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE!

Since I came out of the closet with my family, I feel confident with my body and with masturbating. It's a beautiful mechanism nature gave us. It is one of the few things we can do that's both pleasurable and good for us. Why would I need to ruin that with porn, taking away all that's good about it, I really don't know.
Saying that masturbating is healthy is biologically true. Animals do it, we've always done it. Nobody ever complained.
However Porn is completely fucking destructive, and if your relationship with your sexuality has been altered and damaged by it, then it usually gets to a point where masturbating by itself becomes a complex instance and should be avoided for some time.
I don't ever drink a drop of alcohol but I recognize that wine, GOOD wine (which is now impossible to find anywhere but in an independent farm owned by someone you trust, anything you buy on a shelf is NOT wine nowadays), is a delicacy for those who enjoy it and It can be seen as food and even a regar part of a meal. But people often happen to drink too much, and they'll get sick off it for quite some time, in fact some might not be able to enjoyt it anymore for the rest of their lives.
Populations who were born around coca plants always consumed the leaves in various forms through the day, they're part of their diet, and no one's was a coke fiend there, right? Porn is no less than crack cocaine then.
If one's not aware of his sexual being and identity (well no one knows, I guess, but at least if you know the direction it's going to), which literally translates into NOT KNOWING WHO YOU ARE, it's easy to fall for porn addiction and it can get very hard to separate and know the difference between the two things, the two very ideas of masturbating and watching porn, which are the polar opposite of each other, which then leads to shaming and being afraid of masturbation, which is an extremely dangerousand harmful concept and it can lead to the darkest depths of porn addiction
