  2. Oh OK. Then go for some natural remedies - cold shower, running, walking, meditating with just a timer (this works best for me after a workout) - and of course visualizing your goal - checking in at my profile when you hit day 35 as promised :)

  3. agree completely.

  5. social media has fucked up a lot in society inadvertently in my opinion. It kind of killed a lot of normal interaction as well like there's less need to talk in person or meet so less people do but I think a basic human want is to socialise and instead of normal face to face interaction everything is easy and online. Along with that the idealistic body as you say and I'd say even shit like on instagram for people, honestly the more you reveal of yourself the more likes you get. As well as that people can take 50 selfies and choose the best one so when they see themselves in a photo taken by another person or whatever it makes them think they're ugly. I prefer community based interaction like this one which is actually beneficial and everyone seems great in here.

  6. you should be scared :D I'm very highly motivated to kill this habit.

    Good!

My motivation was actually work related. I didn't want to be here. I just wanted to lay down and surf the net, for safe things, not P.

Have a good weekend everyone! I'm logging off and headed home, storm front moving toward us!

  8. adding to that I think as long as you work out for yourself and not to impress anybody. Stop caring about how you look for others, instead do it for yourself and be content that you look fine then that's a better way to view 'looks'. I hear so many people talking about gym nowadays ,which is good, but how they've been working hard on a particular part of their body just not for their own health but just to show it off. Kinda seems dead in my opinion I've just became content on making myself look good for myself and not to impress anybody and it feels good. Might've repeated myself there a bit but I've done that recently and I've found myself just thinking looks really don't matter, we're all gonna be wrinkly one day so fuck them, just look good for yourself till you're happy.

  11. I think generally society lacks this nowadays. That's why I value this really highly like it's the best thing I've joined in my life and it's helped me from not being able to complete a day of no PMO to making a few seem easy which is big for me. The goal obviously is to make that counter last forever which I really feel I'll achieve but it's a battle so I have to stay alert.

  12. I've been fighting atypical bulimia for quite a long time, those who don't know it's exercise-driven eating disorder. So I still struggle with body acceptance and being in peace when I am just being active, not working out until I feel exhausted or at the expense of my sleep or other needs. It's hard to explain or maybe even to believe but this was how I lived for some time. Nowadays I try to ask myself: is this act an act of loving myself? and try to be compassionate and more flexible. Very hard for a long-term perfectionist but it is the only path to freedom. We all are great and we all have great potential but sometimes we just flow on the surface feeding trivial stuff to our brain which leads us to nowhere :)

  15. I hope that your condition improves. :) I think the last sentence you said sums a lot of life and humans up. I really think as humans we're always looking for something to comfort us or to just spend our energy on, maybe subconsciously. We're obviously built with curiosity while we look for things that appeal to our basic human needs and wants. In turn I think elements of social media and many industries take notice to this so a lot is designed to make us find that which we want but it's smart so we can end up scrolling hours on it just looking at shit we're half interested in or other people's lives. Or we can end up looking for that in food, drugs, alcohol, clothes, goods or sex and it can go deeper in trying to find it in a relationship. Due to our curiosity, I don't think we'll find what makes us content, a real grand scale purpose in this world because it isn't there at our level. Our purpose has to be greater than something that is just a mere creation of someone so I think our purpose is to find our link to God, why we're here and realise to we've been given free-will and malleable intelligence (both separates us from animals) so to devote that to him. We've all been given free will and we're looking for something to spend that on so to devote that to God, one God, who is supreme, who has no weak attributes like being birthed or been given birth to, who is unlike anything we know or can even imagine, who is everlasting and exists outside the confines of time. Everything in life then is given a context, for me anyway. You're welcome to disagree but that's my view, I believe in God exalted above.

  16. My condition is OK, I'm still struggling with perfectionism from time to time but I'll manage it. It all takes time. Regarding that purpose - I agree with you but I also think that we all are actually ONE and we also have to find link both within ourselves and with other human beings. After all, we are beings, not doings. Let's just appreciate the gift of being here at this very moment and literally talking about that in this chat. :)

  17. really true, I haven't thought of it that way in terms of with other human beings at all that's cool. Yeah like appreciate even just the chance of having this thread and being a part of it, even going on nofap and hearing about it, crazyyyy.

  18. Yeah - we are all miracles. If you need some proof, read on: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/probability-being-born_n_877853 Maybe we are indeed carriers of some inner energy and maybe we are all plugged in to the same current (as light bulbs are plugged in to electricity) and maybe this current relates to God or Universe or...? Nobody knows. I just think that we need to value ourselves and our time here on this planet more. We are so much more than just our sex, flesh, bones etc. - this is just details. Thanks for listening. This thread is great :)

  19. Yeah I do physics at university and some of the stuff they say it's like they give excuses to not link it to god, the precise location of the earth so it's not too close or too far from the sun one for example. So many signs of God's existence.
