People become happy by trying to achive things, setting and working on goals. Psycholigical studies show this
Achieving ones goals does not bring the happiness we expect.
Never achieving anything doesn't either.
So congrats on the ending of collega life but set yourself (a) new goal(s).
And chop that/those goals up into smaller ones and smaller ones, so you achieve them regularly and get a rward from your brain.
This will stop a downward spiral from happening.
So f.e. you want a job? You nee to figure out what kind, how to apply, how to look, what to say, what are your own strengths and weaknesses etc.

You want to meet people. Good goal. How do you meet people? Not sitting at home, so small goal, go out at least once a day. Even if it is just around the block. Doing that, start saying hi to everyone etc.etc.

Generally people consider us better than we ourself.

Maybe that girl is a genuine human being who goes around uplifting others. One of my old teachers was like this... She used to encourage all students and made even the dumbest feel smarter by the day. Everyone misses her as far as I know.
