Although I haven't quit video games and tv I definitely reduced the amount I use them significantly. It also has made an enormous change in my life and I love it

How much did you limit your video game use. I’m thinking of just playing once a week. If it all from now on.

It's not a strict rule I have. I just won't play for hours on end like I used to. Maybe I'll play a phone Game for about ten minutes while I'm waiting for something then turn it off. That's just an example but you get the idea.

I think if you think you'll be able to stick to that rule and that it'll help you then you should do it. NoFap is partly about self improvement do it's good to improve yourself in many ways.

Before even discovering nofap i already had understood i had a serius problem, right now i'm triing to take them out completely and replace that lost time with reading or more activities. I believe that living weeks waiting for that day you allow yourself to play doesn't work, try removing them completely and if you really feel like you can't do anything more just chill and play, you're not killing anybody afterall. A thing that is helping me a lot and helped me get out of most games (if not all) is seeing how all the devoted hard work was going into literally a deep deep hole. Take for example dota, league of legends, cs, rainbow or any grinding game that involves real effort over money, after you get to max rank you play challenger leagues and do everything the only advantage you get usually is a mindset that makes you grind better. You're losing around 2 hours a day (let's make it one and let's multiply it for 5 days so we get the minimum a person does a week, still 30 hours a month) just to make it easier for you to lose hours because you're good. Not really well argumented but i've seen a lot of your post and i feel like the way you think is similar to mine so probably it will be easy for you to get my point.

It is. After doing it for so long you start to “live” self improvement so playing video games feels foreign. Feels weird.

Thanks. Feel free to come to me to talk about certain things. I like talking about women, relationships, self improvement, and thinking.

I think, if we can replace educational games which are more towards learning a language and stuff like that, it can be beneficial and that can develop your skill, as there is even programming games not the logic ones who seem for me only for somebody who wants to understand processes of programming, but I know it a bit better than average person so I might see it as useless ^^'

Many videogames are just substitutes for a real life that really sucks, so yes, quitting the games and focusing in living life, no matter how hard it is, is a very good improvement. Congratulations.

These are three of the most important things you can do, I think, to maximize your MANLINESS and overall WELL-BEING

    1. Stop jacking off to porn, while also limiting masturbation to at most 3 times a month ( Gavin McInnes says once, but to each his own )
2 Stop being obsessed with your PHONE
    3. And finally, stop playing video games

  11. It did the same for me. I wasn't 'addicted' to video games like I was to porn but nevertheless most of the time I felt that I had to play instead of want. I've loved MMO games and it took me some time to realize that I treat them like a side job. It wasn't entertainment anymore. I must play to keep up with other players. Instead of developing myself I've worked on my character that can 'disappear' at any time and moreover I spent insane amount of money on top of that. So unless you play casually 1-2h/day there's literally no reason to not quit.

Like we have NoFap for PMO addiction I suggest you check out GameQuitters for gaming.

Here are 'common' benefits if you had problems with spending too much time playing: https://gamequitters.com/the-benefits-of-quitting-gaming/

Glad to hear that you are quitting video games as well. To be honest, playing video games is my second addition where PMO is clearly the first. I have decided to leave both of them behind because one, I am already 26 and should be thinking like an adult, two, I think I had my time playing video games and it's time to move on to something else. Just so you know, I haven't seen any big changes yet but I have a strong believe that the best is yet to come. Stay focus!
