Day 1- New Path

I am a 36 year old man and have finally decided to own up to my porn addiction and revolving door of casual encounters. I seek community, understanding and accountability as I step out of shame and shadows- and into authenticity. I started my timer yesterday at 3pm CST, opened up to my partner of two years and Mom, Dad and sister about this on and off struggle of 18 years (half my life). My heart and mind are truly exhausted of hitting rock bottom, learning lessons the hard way over and over again, of hiding and holding onto shame, and weary of making excuses for my behavior. I have a therapist lined up and will start treatment next Wednesday. I look forward to the authenticity I can bring to this community and receive from others.

Thank you! Woke up with less brain fog and more energy after only three days. Starting therapy on Wednesday to start peeling back all of these layers. Is it correct that you're in the NoFap Academy?
