I start watching porn at 15 but, it was not a problem in my life until i was 25 ( not 28 ) . After my breakup , i start watching porn a looooot . It started with normal porn to insane shit in the last three years . But i noticed in the recent that women had less and less effect on me . I liked to fap to my weird shit . So i wanted to test myself and i found this 19 year old smoking hot blond and ..... that night NOTHING happened NOTHING!
There was no rush , no excitation ... my cock was dead . I never was so ashamed of myself . When i got home ... i fap to some weird shit on the internet . I decided to star NoFap on HARDMODE 8 days ago ...... my brain is going insane . Why ?

  2. The normal no longer gets you excited. But this can be resolved. It takes some time away from P and M, to let your mind calm down and reset. When things start to get back to normal it feels great.

Its just your perverse and corrupt side of your brain trying to rationalize or push you to a relapse by making life hell for now, but don't worry, it WILL stop and you will be clearer headed, and you will be one step closer to freedom from this addiction.

You need to keep going no PMO hard mode. As long as you don’t cave in and go back to looking, your brain won’t go quite so insane. What you have described is what happens to your brain during addiction, you reach the point that normal stuff doesn’t get you like it did at the beginning, so you look for more (it’s like someone going from smoking a cigar but moving onto LSD because a cigar isn’t enough for them)

Going no PMO is very difficult, and at times exhausting. Sometimes you will have energy, and other times you won’t. The only way to see this out is to stop altogether, and download a good app like headspace to manage your anxious thoughts. Doing that, and exercising regularly, will help massively.

Eventually you would find normal things get you going again - however, avoid the fantasising about too much stuff. You need to rest your mind from that for a while, take the this break. If you keep it going for months, it will do you real good. Just don’t relapse! That is where most people get stuck, but will leave you feeling worse.

I wish you the best. Keep us updated with your progress, and try not to be too hard on yourself for the addiction. We all have/or had it, it is how we deal with it from here that matters and makes the difference.

  8. Your brain triggers the feeling that you want to get the drug. Happens as well to people who have been on painkillers long time. Even if there is no physical reason to have pain the body mimicked it to get the drug.

Dude I'm going through this exact thing right now. Like I have been addicted to opiates and cigarettes and managed to quit those things even with physical withdrawal symptoms. It is so crazy to me how your brain can turn into your worst enemy with pmo. I never experienced the rationalizing and bargaining that I do with pmo. I try to make excuses and shit it's so weird. I never relapsed on opiates. But with pmo it's been tons of times now.

  10. Holy cow. I hadn't thought that porn is tougher on us than hard drugs. I think all Fapstonauts care about each other's progress, so I am with you.
Stay tough, wishing all the best to take all the hurdles.

You could be dealing with ED. Also, their is probably better and more accurate science to this than what I can describe, but it's probably due to how your dopamine levels adjusted. From what I understand (please correct me if I'm wrong), the porn addiction has raised the benchmark for what it takes for you to be emotionally responsive/stimulated by activities to the point where the brain only reacts to overstimulation to enjoy things. With sex in particular, it's probably below that benchmark and hence the difficulty. NoFap will help rewire your brain and readjust the benchmark to a lower requirement helping you get better. Their is far more to cover about this than I know of but like I said, I feel I haven't properly described it and so probably look up the science of it. Probably start with the effect porn can have on dopamine levels/receptors?

Echo everything written above... you are a classic case for a full PMO reboot. Things will then improve my friend. Do not despair
