My situation is that, although I dont feel it, I am getting on in years plus my wife has lost her sexual desire. She has tried for my sake but found it painful. I did go for a year without ejaculation about 2 years ago. Non-penetrative sex might work for both of us. The question is for me - in such circumstances should I allow myself to ejaculate ? ( I fully accept that for a 90 day reboot it should be hard mode)

no science, hindu philosophy, non biblical, just a theory, and based on opinion, I am at 102 days abstinence, I understand where one can get drawn into the cessation of ejaculation sure, we were designed by God in marriage to have sex, not porn not masterbation, which is from man. its motivating knowing that men can go for long periods without ejaculation, yet disheartening to not have the spiritual ability to abstain for a period of time the right way, did not mean to argue a point, just no moral ground to stay tuned ang longer. Godspeed best wishes.

  9. Well some of us do not believe in God. Abstinence is a personal choice.

    To Foxislander,

You make a great point about much of this is strictly one's own opinion. Because of what we WANT to believe, so much false and untrue information gets passed on as "fact". I hope I have not done so for the sake of this forum. I freely admit I have few REAL answers--only my thoughts and experiences.

Like you, I believe that we were designed by God to have sex. But I also believe that there was a purpose for sex (God given) and that was to procreate. Then the question becomes two-fold: does sex without the intent of procreation simply become an indulgence that actually weakens us? And does sex impact both the male and female equally?

From my perspective, I think that the answer to the first question is 'yes' and to the second question is 'no'.

My wife has lost interest in sex. We completed our family a long time ago. The celibacy challenge is mainly mine and I am finding it very difficult.
