  1. You don't take people seriously? Why? Doesn't make any sense, it's not like games were designed for children, why is it apparently not a "grown up" thing to do? It's a hobby or "luxury" like anything else.

Plus It's only an addiction if you let it turn in to one and just because you have a problem with it doesn't mean everyone else does. Time doesn't exactly equal addiction either, that would mean me being glued to my work or something productive like cleaning for hours would be an addiction. lol

What do you mean ideas for games? Like do you mean creating/designing video games myself or something else?

Productive and necessary. Games don't match this. And those don't bring any value and personal growth. If a person is a manager, has the perfect body because of the gym and/or other sports activities, read books, goes to public events often, then maybe some hours per week of gaming is nothing bad. But if a person is only going to work and then play games all evening, then gaming is the reason why he has not many other qualities. I don't see it as something good at the grown up age.

Video games can be addictive and you can easily spend hours playing without realising. Time is valuable and you should spend it wisely. I was once addicted to playing, I used to play from morning till night most days. I sold my console to get away from this addiction, and to carry on with a normal life

Currently playing 'Fran Bow' a point and click horror game and 'Cuphead.'

Fantastic way to kill the time, now these are not multiplayer games, but I totally get how multiplayer games can be addictive, so I avoid these at all costs.

  6. To you maybe, not everything has to revolve around productivity in life, besides that's your idea on how the perfect person should be. I'm talking about if you get done what you need to do in a day or should do, and just because a person doesn't do all those things you think they should do doesn't mean they don't have any good qualities, that's laughable.

  7. I enjoy reading about games, and watching YouTube shows about games. In fact I do those two things much more than I actually play any games.

In a way that probably makes me like one of those people who watches sport a lot but doesn't do any exercise.

  8. Reminds me of the people that watch other gamers play on Twitch, I was never interested in that but a lot of them seem to enjoy it.

  9. Video games stimulate the same area of the brain sex, drugs and porn do. They provide a nice dopamine rush so to your brain its all the same. They are addictive and caving in to something addictive can weaken your self control and make you more prone to addiction. For most people who frequent this site, PMO is not their only addiction.

  11. Many things stimulate the brain in the way that you say, food is another thing that can give tons of dopamine and for a lot it can easily turn into an addiction.

  16. Why not? I agree. Never played CoD on multiplayer. My multiplayer shooter days ended after Goldeneye 64 4-player mode.

  17. Too much stress, I get agitated, frustrated, even angry and always pushed myself to be number one on the scoreboard. I never cared about the fun or experience because I always had this mentality I had to be first or I was a failure. I don't like getting angry, yelling or anything, I want to have fun and unfortunately I can't with those games.

I already have anxiety so that made it so much worse, especially how fast paced they are today. I gave up after Titanfall 2, as much as I loved it I can't do it anymore.

  18. I grew up playing console games with cousins and friends. It fostered cooperation.

Humping and jerking each other off didn't really provide much in terms of long-term cooperation abilities but at least we played all the consoles together religiously.
