3rd Time Reboot: 30 Days Hard Mode

    Hi everyone, I'm currently on my third reboot after failing a 9 day first reboot and a 10-11 day second reboot, I'm trying to use all the tips people give me and the ones i learned myself with the experience that NoFap has given me so far. Please feel free to share your story/tips on the comments!

    I joined NoFap because i believe that specially P but also M are an addiction and I've been doing it since I was 12-13 (I'm 20 now) as a daily thing. After learning about the benefits that stopping PMO can give there was absolutely no doubt to me that this was the thing to do, as I believe it will help me change my thoughts on women (stop seeing them as sexual objects) and also improve my social skills that I admit are not top notch, basically I want to stop thinking about Sex everytime i see hot Women, and change my general way of thinking since i believe P and M are holding me back and not fully letting me "grow up".

    (This is the same thread for my 1st Reboot that has been edited, so some comments might not make much sense anymore).

    Here's a few tips:

    This is literally much harder than you think it will be, be strong, be vigilant.
    You can do it though, if you have a solid foundation.
    Have a clear goal in your mind's eye on what kind of person you want to be in 90 days.
    Every time you are about to relapse, know that you are throwing away that goal.
    No matter what, stick with it, even if you are in a strange state of mind.
    Did I mention no matter what, stick with it? No matter what.
    Always have a strong plan for any urges.
    Enjoy the benefits, this is one of the best decisions you can make in your life!

    Thanks man, this is exactly what i needed, I know it will be tough, on the first day's night i felt like i wasn't going to be able to sleep without PMO but i managed to ignore it, really hope i can go not only 90 days but quit P for good. Thank you so much for your help, may the two of us and all the community overcome this challenge in our lives!

    thts cool but me urge or no urge cold shower from now on,im gonna make tht cold shower my bestfriend lol except if im sick then its ok.

    Tomorrow I will have completed my 90 days reboot, of course every person is different, but here some information for you:
    The first week your testicles will hurt a bit, don't worry, it will go away after this week, after 14 days you will feel stronger than ever.
    Unfortunately after that it will go down and down until day 40-50, but don't give up during that period, believe me, you will survive this. After day 50 up to 90 you will certainly recognize progress, if you aren't doing sports already start it, you will have the power of a tiger :)
    One thing that's very important, install a porn block plugin or aporn block software on your computer, in America K9 seems to be widely known and used. I'm using Anti-Porn Pro (Firefox Plugin) it helps a lot. And you should activate Safew Search for Google. Works like a charm.
    I don't know if you visitig sites like 9gag, but I stopped watching it as well, too many sexual stimuli. The same thing goes for Youtube, you can activate SafeMode there and I would recommend it.
    Avoid shows like Game of Thrones, at least for the first 60 days, even more, if you have the feeling you can't resist.
    Talk about it with your friends. At the beginning they probably will think you're crazy, they will tell you no one can do that and that masturbation is healthy blablabla, don't listen to them, soon they will recognize your progress and then you will know you have achieved something they never could.
    Personally I was never a fan of cold showers, but they can help.
    At the beginning you will have morning wood everytime. I didn't have a wet dream, but if it happens don't worry, you couldn't influence it, but, what you can control are sexual dreams, try to stop that, it will help you a lot.
    Don't lock yourself up in your room, go out with your friends, do sports. I stopped playing games nonstop as well, it's an addiction like all others.

    Wow man thank you so much for reading my reboot and write down a complete answer full of tips! I do visit websites like 9gag and that was exactly one of my fears... There's a lot of sexual content associated posts and i think I will quit it for a while, I'll probably be installing Anti-Porn Pro as I'm also a Firefox user. Unfortunately Game of Thrones is too much of a good show to stop watching but I'll definitely not look twice about the NSFW scenes and just not care about them, I'm trying to keep my will power strong, when I'm out and i see hot girls and my mind immediately starts noticing them and how in shape they are i try to think of other stuff because that's not who I want to be, i don't want to think of women like that. I will try to start running often not only because i know it helps but also because i have free time and it would defo be the best thing i could be doing out of my life right now. Also congratulations on your 90 days! That surely incentivizes NoFap noobs like me that will power CAN overcome urges, I really hope i can manage to complete not only the 90 days but a lot longer, because I do believe indeed this is a big change in my life, a GOOD change.

    Hey Karthick! First of all congratulations for joining the NoFap community, it means you know you didn't feel like you were doing the right thing, but now you've come to the right place to fix your problem! To start with from all the information I've been gathering in the past days from this helpfull community I'd suggest you delete anything that has to do with P that may be in your computer, secondly, install Anti-Porn Pro or K9 or any other adult website Blocker, just get as far away as anything that may trigger urges! Will Power is the key to win this "fight", you need to focus on what your goals are by stopping PMO and remember that you're doing this for a reason, if you ever feel like you are going to fail, press the panic button that you can find on the top bar of the NoFap Forums. Feel free to read the tips other Fapstronauts have left on this thread, and remember!

    If you give up now, you'll end up finding yourself in this exact situation in a very near future. STAY STRONG

    Morning wood is my archilles heel. So far I am on Day 30 and have managed (miraculously) NOT to play. No ejac or edging. This is mostly effective in winter but if you find yourself with morning wood and your bedroom is cold in the morning, jump straight out of bed, drop your bed clothes for a good minute and the wood should soften. That's worked for me each time. You shouldn't need to run a cold shower. By all means, do it if you really need to but try the cold air trick first.

    What you can do as well is thinking of something that turns you off completely. For me everytime I am about to get a boner I start thinking of Angela Merkel :) Works perfect for me, this woman is such a turn-off. You must find your own turn off thought of course, but most important,as DeusEx_Timelord already said, hands off.

    Yes i've had morning wood for like 2 days so far but didn't even pay much attention to it, I just did my usual trick which is holding my breath and the wood is gone in a few seconds lol, after that i get up and just continue my day :p Also I've added a link to my Journal so if anyone wants to have a look at it, please feel free!

    Everything has been going well so far, few urges sometimes but been able to control myself, starting to think less and less about PMO which is good. Still sexualizing my thoughts about girls more than I'd like, but considering I'm still in the beginning I guess it isn't too bad, surely in time it will change...

    Today I was SO CLOSE to relapse... Gosh the Urges seem to have rapidly increased since yesterday, just as I'm closing in to 1 week free of PMO it gets a lot worse, feeling like a junkie who needs his drug back. I'm still accepting tips, for just like I was warned, this is much harder than I thought it would be.

    Good job man, the last days have been tough, but i also believe this is the first barrier we must break, after this I'm sure we'll start to feel better! We can do this!
