I have noticed that without PMO, I am becoming cooler, more grounded and saner in many ways.

I am more sensible and happier. Little jokes in life and little happy moments seems a lot more enjoyable now. I used to have a tendency of running the negative things that happened in my life over and over again in my head. That is gone. There is practically nothing running through my thought stream these days. Apart from NoFap (which is only 15 days as I write), I have been Vegetarian since Jan 2013, No Alochol and Weed since Jan 2011, No Smoking since July 2013, Journalling daily since March 2015, and Meditating since March 2014.

I was diagonsed with Schizophrenia is 2011. The doctors told me that alcohol and weed could have me go for high episodes and I did not simply want that. From being a mentally unstable person, I think I have never been this healthy in life. I realise it is about taking small steps with habits and tendencies. Each small victory leads us to the next thing.

My experience - Life is beautiful. I love life. Life can look depressing and out of the way - but the bad times are like workouts for the mind to make it more muscular :)

Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing! I plan to quit smoking next. But for now it's one thing at a time for me.
    Cheers!

It is all the same game man. Smokes, drugs, Porn - all affect us the same way. If we look deeper, we may find other vices within us which may not be very popular. Maybe when we read, we do not make it to the last word in the paragraph and skip to the next paragraph (for instance - i dont know) or we are too quick to eat. This is a lifelong exercise.

I am sure you are strong. Keep up the spirit

Great post man. You're really inspiring to me. Keep living life the way you want to live it. You're also right that life is beautiful a lot of us forget about that with the current barrage of technology that is put in front of us. We're all really lucky and blessed to have made it here. Keep up the good fight!

By the definitions of the world, I am not successful. At the age of 31, I am living with my parents, single, unemployed (I am studying full time for a competitive examination) and not really facing the world. One real challenge can put me off track. However, I am trying hard to observe myself very hard.

  9. Very inspiring. Makes we want to keep going, even though I'm relapsing more than a chipmunk on cocaine. I've had 6x relapses this month (May).
I myself was diagnosed with ADD as a child and extremely sensitive but I found out, that we all have our gifts and weaknesses and we can evolve all parts of our life.

  10. From what you say you have done a total 180 with substances and bad habits because you have brought good habits into your life like mindfulness and journaling. That sounds pretty successful to me.

I feel happy for you my friend!

a wise woman (my teacher in highschool actually) once told me
to start, you don't need to be good; but to be good, you need to start
well, we weren't talking about NoFap when she said that to me
nontheless, I still find this simple principle very helpful on my NoFap journey

    God bless you^^

    Thank You @calvintaiwan.

One difference I feel right now is a change in focus from my head to the whole body. When I am with women, I feel it with my whole body - not just the genitals or anything like that. This makes me acknowledge the presence of the body as well rather than just intellectually going on in my head. Happiness and laughter is more prominent now. I talk from the heart and not from brain exercises alone. This seems to work out better for me as intelligence of my body as a whole is much more than that of the brain alone.

All thanks to NoFap. Life seems more fulfilling. I never expected such results so early within 20 days. :)
