22 male. Science student. Love outdoors. Love minimalism.
Grew up with a Christian view. Over four years transitioned to agnosticism.
First masturbated when 15. I have consistently PMO ~4 times a week since. I slowly increased pornographic materials, generally very softcore stuff - swimsuit pics and YouTube.
Early on I would feel guilty for disobeying God. But I thought everyone else was doing it so it was the healthy thing - this was my excuse. I ALWAYS TRIED TO QUIT. Now I realize the impact it is having. I don't have a real problem with blankly masturbating occasionally if one has no partner. But what guy ever does it blankly without some sexy lass in mind? I have noticed it is increasingly hard to orgasm. My old fella isn't as rigid. Real, "imperfect" girls became less attractive. For many reasons I feel guilty for participating in PMO. Having a guilty secret does terrible things for my confidence.
I want my sexual life to connect me, to be sacred and fulfilling.
I want to quit PMO to restore my mind and body to a natural, healthy sexual state.
PMO has been a massive burdon for seven years. I am confident eliminating it will lead to great changes in life for the better. It may even lead to better exercising and eating habits! (The brain adapts to food the same way it adapts to porn)
The one sacrifice I must make for all of this is... Well there isn't really a sacrifice. I just need to have the foresight that there are more rewards if I don't!Interact
